Peanut butter is a caregiver’s friend. It is a pleasant way to be able to administer supplements to our elephants in cored-out apples. All of the ladies receive peanut butter supplement apples twice daily, and an occasional caregiver takes a spoonful to help them get through the afternoon. Although we only use a little peanut butter per apple, we can go through a fair bit.
